Job Description:

You will serve as a SECURITY GUARD of JB PEARL HARBOR HICKAM SEC DET.
In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Authenticating identification by physical examination and through use of Personnel Access Control Systems (ePACS), identification cards, badges, biometric automated tools, verbal questioning, and other means; 2) Performing Visitor Control Center duties; 3) Inspecting containers, personal property and vehicle documentation. You will control access for pedestrians and vehicles utilizing standard operating procedures, written orders and regulatory requirements as a guide to assess determination for a wide range of unique circumstances.
You will be responsible for performing and resolving a full range of both standard procedural and non-recurring/ unusual visitor access assignment.
You will be required to participate in mobilization exercises, demonstrations, mock situations, and other practical scenarios wherein potential critical functions are performed and assessed to assure adequate preparation and resources are available.
