Job Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the TEMPORARY SYSTEMS and SERVICES DIVISION, ENGINEERING and PLANNING DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: * Experience performing a full range of engineering duties concerned with design, layout and evaluation of temporary structural services supporting ships at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and the San Diego Detachment. * Experience planning, budgeting, designing, and carrying out programs, projects, studies, and other aspects as required. * Experience ensuring resources are available and effective for on-yard and off-yard (TDY) assignments and must support emergent weekday/weekend work when necessary. * Experience in resolving technical, scientific, engineering and design problems, and complications which involve policy determinations or interpretations. You will serve as the supervisory engineering technician and manage the Temporary Services Structural Branch and be responsible for the technical support of temporary structural services, which provide support to ships.
You will ensure all planning software, including test, technical and planner produced software meets required specifications.
You will be responsible for supervising engineering analysis and resolutions of emergent problems that occur.
You will supervise the planning efforts, development of work documents, the monitoring and certification of ongoing work.
