Job Description:

This position is part of the Defense Security Cooperation Agency. The incumbent will be responsible for working with acquisition officials for the development and execution of an acquisition plan to support project development and sustainment which includes procurement of hardware and software to support assigned AIS. This position is open to Arlington, VA and/or Mechanicsburg, PA.
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: Overseeing the management of various information systems including their scopes, resources, performance, and enterprise architecture. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
As a IT PROGRAM MANAGER (PLCYPLN) at the GS-2210-14 some of your typical work assignments may include: Evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of AIS in supporting SA programs reviewing cost, risk, return on investment, and customer support - Planning, coordinating, and implementing current and long-range objectives, budgetary limitations and other new requirements for AIS. Developing the plan and schedule for the analysis, design, development, testing, user training, installation and implementation of assigned AIS or upgrades. Overseeing the management of various Automated Information Systems (AIS) including their scopes, resources (human, financial, contract, physical), schedule, quality, performance, requirements, risks, information assurance, marketing, process improvement, customer support, reporting, enterprise architecture Responsible for overseeing the management of various Automated Information Systems (AIS) including their scopes, resources (human, financial, contract, physical), schedule, quality, performance, requirements, risks, information assurance, marketing, process improvement, customer support, reporting, enterprise architecture and methods required to achieve the worldwide Security Assistance (SA) support mission. Coordinates with information systems personnel in DSCA, MILDEPs, DISA, DLA, DFAS and other customers when applications interface with or impact other systems.
