This position is located in the Facilities and Logistics Services (F&LS) Division under the Facilities, Acquisition, and Administrative Services (FAAS) Directorate of PFPA.
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of experience in the same or similar work equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-12) requiring application of the knowledge, skills, and abilities of the positions being filled. Candidates for this position must clearly demonstrate in their resume that they possess specialized experience in 1) ability to manage both accountable and non-accountable property in accordance with DoD regulations; 2) analyzing, developing, evaluating, and advising on long- and short-term policies, plans, methods, procedures, and for logistics and mission readiness; 3) ability to negotiate effectively with senior level personnel both orally and in writing on study recommendations impacting the assigned logistical areas of responsibility Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Serves as a senior logistics management specialist in support of acquisition phases of assigned systems and programs. Performs duties as the Internal Use Software (IUS) Accountable Property Officer (APO) for all IUS assets used by PFPA, in accordance with DoD Instruction 5000.76; Chapter 6, Volume 4 of DoD 7000.14-R, and the Federal Accounting Standards Advisory Board's Statement of Federal Financial Accounting Standards Number 10. Assists the GE APO with the administration of plans and the GE property management program in the PFPA, to include inventory scheduling of Hand Receipt Holder Accounts and accurate and timely maintenance of all GE accountable property records. Performs duties as the Serialization Officer which includes establishing and maintaining files for all supported accountable property records. Develops, maintains, and revises, as needed, the logic and mythology used to analyze, evaluate, and assess CBRN related supplies and PPE to support the Agency's logistic and mission readiness.
