To qualify for this position at the GS-11 grade level, you must possess one of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in Federal Service. Specialized experience includes performing physical security duties for the protection of cultural and/or natural resources, visitors, facilities, and assets; conducting security assessments; developing and implementing physical security plans; managing electronic and mechanical security systems; and ensuring compliance with Departmental and agency physical security policies. Experience must also include serving as, or assisting with the duties of related to structural fire management, such as overseeing alarm systems, coordinating fire inspections, and supporting the development and implementation of agency structural fire program requirements. . You must include hours per week worked. -OR- EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work. You must include transcripts. -OR- Successful completion of a combination of education and experience as described above that may be used to meet total qualification requirements. This combination can be computed by first determining the total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required; then determining the education as a percentage of the education required; and then adding the two percentages. Major Duties of this position include: Development, implementation, and oversight of physical security programs designed to protect National Park Service Personnel, facilities, and critical assets. Evaluation, installation, and maintenance of alarm systems and access control measures to ensure compliance with departmental policies and the safety and security of the park operations. Oversight of fire detection and suppression systems, emergency procedures, inspections, and staff training to support safe facility operations and effective structural fire preparedness. Management and coordination of projects related to the planning, installation, maintenance, and improvement of physical security systems and fire detection and suppression systems. Provide management, oversight, and technical support of park-wide CCTV systems, including installation, maintenance, monitoring, and contractor coordination of CCTV systems.
