Job Description:

You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Groton Supply Support Division of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-111 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Thorough working kowledge and understanding of the Submarine Fleet Modernization Program. Broad knowledge of principles, procedures, techniques, and practices followed in submarine construction, conversion and repair in order to effectively evaluate shipbuilder performance. Detailed working knowledge of supply system regulations, procedures, concepts, and methodology to ensure material positioning in support of delivered submarine availabilities is accomplished in a timely manner. Thorough working knowledge of the Advance Equipment Repair Program (AERP). Thorough working knowledge of life cycle integrated logistic management support. Detailed knowledge of the Availability Work Package (AWP) issued againt overhaul or repair submarine contracts. A broad knowledge of government and contractor procurement/purchasing processes. Ability to plan and organize work, to work independently or with others. Make sound decisions, review and analyze data, understand complex problems render conclusions, and develpo proposals to resolve ILS and contract issues. You will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, coordinating, and controlling ILS tasks.
You will serve as the designated Division representative serving on Process Improvement Teams (PITs) with other SUPSHIPs, NAVSUP FLC Norfolk Detachments, Naval Sea Systems Commands, and contractor personnel.
You will identify methods to be utilized when analyzing the contractors ILS Program initiatives, coordinate and perform analysis of the contractor's quality program and procedures governing the contractor's processes.
You will be responsible for detailed planning, developing, and implementing changes as necessary to ensure material control, Coordinate Shipboard Allowance List (COSAL) development, outfitting/fitting out, and shipboard stowage management.
