This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: I have performed the majority of the following duties under normal supervision: 1) Ensuring safety and housekeeping rules are followed, that equipment and utensils are properly used and maintained; 2) Cooking a variety of food items to include regular and special diet entrees for low fat and low sodium; and 3) Preparing all food in accordance with food safety guidelines, the production log and recipe cards. You will train and lead the other cooks during their shift, providing guidance and instruction on food preparation and cooking techniques.
You will fill out the production log, complete daily food safety inspections and checklists, train and lead the other cooks during their shift.
You will work with the other cooks, setting the pace.
You will pass onto workers; instructions received from the supervisor and starts work by assigning the immediate tasks to be performed by individual cooks.
