GS-12: To be eligible at the GS-12 level, you must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in Federal service. Specialized Experience: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 in Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as performing the following types of duties: providing litigation support services to manage and analyzing case materials in support of a trial team; organizing, tracking and analyzing thousands or ten of thousands of items of evidence, millions of data elements; providing technical advice to litigation teams on legal automation requirements and system capabilities to facilitate litigation decisions, trial preparation and trial presentation; and implementing new and enhanced computer applications needed from criminal and civil cases. Preferred Qualifications: The Legal Administrative Specialist (Litigation Support) is responsible for supporting litigation teams with legal automation requirements and systems capabilities to facilitate discovery. Please indicate your experience in this capacity, including specifically how you have worked with e-Discovery software such as eScanIt, Eclipse SE, Relativity, and Case Map. If selected for this position, you will serve as a Legal Administrative Specialist with the United States Attorney's Office, Central District of California. You will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing highly technical litigation support for high-profile, complex, multi-defendant prosecutions by the U.S. Attorney's Office, Central District of California. You must have a very high degree of familiarity with certain databases and software and be able to perform all the duties set forth below: Providing technical advice to litigation teams and support staff regarding automated presentation requirements and system capabilities with high proficiency in working with OnCue, Camtasia, Everlaw, Axon/Evidence.com, NetDocs, and Audacity. Working with video evidence to create digital video transcripts with OnCue, cutting/editing with Camtasia, blurring out people in surveillance videos, and converting video to other usable formats. Creating OnCue presentations, converting exhibits, and editing/redacting exhibits as well as synching transcripts on OnCue in real-time during trial. Organizing thousands of items of evidence through automated means such as scanning, indexing and controlling of documents into a database. Conducting remote video support (VTC) set up and troubleshooting. Diagnosing and resolving automated litigation support system issues and complications. Assuring presentation equipment is in place and functioning during courtroom and grand jury sessions. Evaluating new developments in legal technology, including software courtroom presentation equipment and trial exhibit preparation. Training new employees on critical office software such as OnCue, Camtasia, Everlaw, Axon/Evidence.com, NetDocs, Powerpoint, Microsoft Word, and Audacity. Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
