THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a Logistics Management Specialist, Position Description Number D2059000 and is part of the 78th Troop Command. This is a full-time, Excepted Permanent, dual status position which requires Georgia Army National Guard Membership. Area of Consideration: Current on-board members of the Georgia Army National Guard.
Military Grades: E5 - E6. Compatible Military Assignments: OBR: 92A, 92Y. GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 24 months experience, education, or training involving detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities). Experience integrating actions of a variety of specialized support activities in order to meet program goals. Experience interpreting and applying regulations, laws or practices. As a Logistics Management Specialist, GS-0346-09, you will: As the subject matter expert for logistics, develop, implement and evaluate the logistic goals and priorities for the organization. Advise the command in the area of logistics operations. Oversee and review unit level feeder reports. Analyze and/or prepare the logistics and equipment readiness areas of the organizational readiness report. Review, analyze, and provide recommendations relative to proposed Modified Table of Organization and Equipment/Table of Distribution and Allowances (MTOE/TDA) and/or force structure changes to determine the impact on equipment authorizations. Remain current on and ensure the implementation of policy statements, regulations and directives. Provide guidance and assistance to ensure command programs have been implemented and evaluate their effectiveness in subordinate elements. Plan for the establishment and operation of the Administrative and Logistics Operations Center (ALOC). Develop and implement tactical standard operating procedures for logistics. Ensure compliance with the command supply discipline program, command maintenance discipline program, and other directed command inspection programs. Assist in the preparation for and execute additional command level inspections in the area of logistics and maintenance. Work in conjunction with the Property Book Officer (PBO) to advise the S-4 and commander of equipment on hand and equipment readiness issues. Direct the maintenance priority of support to unit equipment. Coordinate and ensure the completion of change of command inventories and applicable adjustment documents. Direct, review, and make recommendations on investigations of incidents involving property loss or damage. Manage Financial Liability Investigations of Property Loss (FLIPL), Cash Collections, and Statements of Charges for property loss or damage for the organization. Provide guidance and management for all decentralized logistic funds. These may include secondary stock funds, office supply accounts, transportation funding, and various classes of supply. May serve as the approving official for government purchase card expenditures. Provide technical guidance and assistance to all organizational logistic personnel pertaining to the accountability of all property assigned to the organization. May provide supervision to full time personnel in the S-4 section in the absence of the logistics officer. Directs the work of lower graded employees. May be required to represent the National Guard and the unit Commander in the community. Provide logistical support for community activities such as parades, celebrations, military funerals, etc. Coordinate with civic officials, club officers and school officials for such things as recruiting activities, communities support projects, natural disaster or civil disturbance planning, use of facilities for training for such things as recruiting for such things as recruiting and security of those facilities. Perform other duties as assigned.
