This vacancy is for a GS - 1801 - 11, Fraud Investigator located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, NMC COMPLIANCE INVESTIGATIONS STAFF in MARTINSBURG, West Virginia.
To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 grade level in the federal sector. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. You will serve as a Fraud Investigator and be responsible for performing as a subject matter expert for all investigations involving the Mariner Credentialing Program (MCP), providing direct support to other field investigators involved in MCP related investigations, and is responsible for conducting field level investigations involving fraudulent activity or other derogatory suitability actions committed by an applicant or a credentialed merchant mariner seeking to obtain, renew or upgrade a Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) or Medical Certificate.. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
