You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: - Researching work inquiries and transactions and applying to agency laws, regulations, polices, and procedures; AND - Analyzing data, preparing reports, and making recommendations based on findings and interpretations; AND - Creating and giving oral presentations; AND - Providing guidance, instruction, and training to new and experienced employees on pertinent work transactions In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-12, you must have been at the GS-11 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
This position is located at Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Office of Permitting and Taxation. As a Alcohol & Tobacco Tax Specialist (Technical Advisor), you will: Review a variety of inspection, audit and investigation reports; conduct analysis; and prepare technical summaries and recommendations concerning the findings. Review investigation or audit reports and Field Office recommendations in evaluating and determining the qualifications of applicants for initial permits, and the appropriateness of recommended actions to correct documented violations; assist NRC management in the resolution of alcohol, tobacco & firearms problem activities by industry members. Plan, schedule and conduct studies and projects or coordinate programs to facilitate effective and efficient operation of the NRC in furtherance of its mission. Enforce permit provisions of the Federal Alcohol Administration Act (Title 27 U.S.C.).
