You will serve as a GENERAL ENGINEER in the FACILITIES BRANCH of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA. The Secretary of War has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer providing support of facilities inspections, infrastructure systems troubleshooting, project development, space planning, design, scope and cost estimating on a wide variety of facility, industrial systems and infrastructure projects. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft excel, and practical use of cost estimating software. You will work with in a small group of full performance, professionals, junior professionals, and/or technical assistants.
You will provide comprehensive knowledge based on engineering technical expertise on both a team and individual basis for those projects which are part of the scoping, and development phases of managed programs and projects.
You will perform liaison duties with departments to support customer driven facilities projects.
You will assist in developing and refining simple to complex project scope, cost estimates, and final project deliverables.
You will coordinate and collaborate with other teams to ensure projects are executed as programmed.
You will develop complex, special, and/or nonrecurring reports, determining content, parameters, format and methodology for preparation of reports.
You will provide written briefings and recommendations to management.
