This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Asst Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner.
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-15, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Experience with FHA mortgage products and programs, including all rules and regulations governing FHA mortgagee's and applying the law to the lender's operations; AND -Experience with reviewing and applying the statutes, regulations and requirements governing the origination, underwriting and servicing of FHA insured home mortgage, project mortgage and home improvement loans; AND - Experience performing analytical research or work in developing and writing letters or comprehensive reports which affect changes in Mortgage Review Board activities.; AND - Experience with oversight and analysis of lender operations and administrative functions as they relate to state and federal requirements for lenders offices, employment/employee requirements, and all other functional and operational requirements. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.

Provide guidance to QAD Directors and other field staff in the preparation of MRB correspondence and the conduct of reviews. Act as witness in Departmental hearings Serve as an advisor, and consultant, as directed on all matters pertaining to the approval of lenders
