Job Description:

This position is located in the Facilities, Acquisition & Logistics Services Division under the Security Integration & Technology Directorate of PFP A. As Lead Specialist, this position provides logistics management assistance by performing team lead activities, implementing policies, coordinating with stakeholders, making recommendations, resolving problems and conducting special projects.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONT The employee assigned to this position is designated as a MISSION ESSENTIAL EMPLOYEE. Mission essential employees may be required to report for, or remain at, work in dismissal or closure situations due to adverse weather conditions, natural disasters, or other emergency situations (e.g., building closure due to power outage) causing disruptions of government operations, and are required to maintain contact with their supervisor during any dismissal or closure situation unless specifically excused by their supervisor. In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service (experience may have been gained in the private sector) that demonstrates your ability to: Managing property accountability records, to include life-cycle accountability, events, and transactions; and Processing the disposition of excess non-expendable property; and Ensuring supplies and warehouse stocks meet sustainment levels for agency needs. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Incumbent typical work assignments may include the following: Performs coordination, coaching, facilitating, consensus ­building, and planning activities to accomplish team tasks. Communicates assignments, organizational strategic plan, mission, vision and values to the team. Explains team goals and objectives, maintains workload distribution and balance and assists team members in organizing and accomplishing work. Serves as the assessable unit manager for PFPA-wide space, facility, property and construction management programs. Develops and implements the comprehensive plans, policies, processes and procedures to comply with General Services Administration (GSA) and Do W space layout standards. Facilitates, coordinates, and monitors staff preparation for planning, developing, and coordinating office space configuration to maximize space utilization including security and other facility requirements. Conducts research and analysis on cost effective procurement of furniture and property items. Develops standard operating procedures for effective management and compliance with GSA and Do W programs, and space layout standards. Communicates with senior PFP A management on task accomplishments and decisions. Monitors workflow and oversees PFP A construction projects and space allocations. Conducts research and performs analyses for special projects.
