THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST (TITLE 5), Position Description Number NGT5903000 and is part of the TN 164th AW Air National Guard. This vacancy is covered by Association of Civilian Technicians (ACT), Chapter 115 (Pyramid on the River Chapter).
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training involving judgment and/or analytical ability in the logistics field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 12 months specialized experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Must have experience, education, or training which involved detailed knowledge of organizations and their functions in logistical support (i.e., supply, maintenance, quality assurance, facilities). Experience planning and organizing work assignments. Knowledge of the operational aspects of equipment authorized for the organization and authorized substitutes sufficient to advise senior leadership on the mission degradation resulting from limited availability of authorized equipment. Knowledge of supply regulations and directives sufficient to establish organization management policies and procedures. Experience reviewing and evaluating all operations, deployment, contingency and exercise plans to ensure mission readiness for the Logistics Readiness Squadron.
As a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST, GS-0346-09, you will review and evaluate all operations, deployment, contingency and exercise plans to ensure mission readiness for the Logistics Readiness Squadron. Develop, manage and control Logistics Readiness Squadron training and career development programs. Compile and update status of Logistics Readiness Squadron, to include tracking and reporting of personnel, training, equipment and supplies. Coordinate, develop and administer management training programs for supervisory personnel. Develop local training programs to accommodate supply procedural changes, and coordinates changes to other career field areas as directed, to improve operational effectiveness when management indicators reflect potential trouble areas. Perform other duties as assigned.
