Job Description:

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA IT & B R Division, Business Resource Branch.
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Qualifying Experience: To qualify at the GG-12, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as experience providing logistics management, planning, and budgeting to develop and oversee policies and procedures, with a primary focus on managing the software asset lifecycle while applying advanced analytical skills to assess and improve complex military logistics programs. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.
Manages day-to-day operation of DISA J6 C4E Pentagon software assets to include reviewing, tracking and approving requests for software installations. Tracks and manages license keys to ensure DISA J6 C4E Pentagon compliance with Copyright laws.
Prepares study reports and composes correspondence identifying decision, recommendations, and policy actions initiated to accomplish logistics objectives. Represents the staff level function at component meetings and conferences.
Enhances logistics readiness and support effectiveness and resolves complex logistics problems affecting numerous activities and units spread over large geographical areas.
Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates assigned projects / programs determining overall effectiveness in achieving required logistics support of identified software / systems as well as compliance with applicable laws, regulations, agreements, and policies
Oversees Software Asset Management (SAM) Tool and ensuring the data is accurate for the planning, programming, and budgeting for the DISA J6 C4E Pentagon Software Licensing Program, as well as developing and defending the program.
