THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a ELECTRONICS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0718000 and is part of the NC G4, National Guard (G4-MATES / Manning Doc 7021-700).
Military Grades: Enlisted (E7 - E9) or Warrant Officer (WO1 - CW4) Minimum Requirements: Experience or training which demonstrates that the candidate has the ability to organize assignments for subordinates, estimate material and manpower needed for specific jobs; able to explain manuals and work procedures; and to prepare production records, work records and reports. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 36 months experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
As an ELECTRONICS MECHANIC SUPERVISOR, WS-2604-11, you will plan weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations; establish deadlines and priorities based on established general schedules, methods and policies; determine skills, materials and equipment required to do the work; participate in the initial planning of current and future work schedules and development of budget requests; provide workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations as the scheduling of projected work; assign tasks to be performed; explain work requirements, methods, and procedures; instruct subordinates on new procedures or methods and provide assistance on difficult or new problem areas; review work in progress or on completion; note and investigate work related problems and independently implements corrective actions; assure that equipment and materiel is available; coordinate work with other units; recommend and participate in the selection of personnel to fill vacancies; schedule and approve leave of subordinates; set performance requirements and make formal and informal performance appraisals; ensure that regulations governing safety and housekeeping are observed; maintain production reports and records; perform the nonsupervisory work of the function as needed; implement regulatory safety requirements an ensures that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions; prepare for and participate in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support; perform other duties as assigned.
