This position is located in a National Park Service Unit. This position is a working leader assigned responsibility for building and utility maintenance work. The major duties of the Maintenance Worker Leader (seasonal) position include, but are not limited to, the following: Performs as a working leader Demonstrates proper work methods and works along with subordinates to set the workplace Checks work-in progress and completed work to determine/ensure supervisor's instructions are being followed and deadlines are met. Reports progress, issues, and delays to supervisor. Performs carpentry repairs and construction of new and existing structures or items such as building storage shelves, dry wall, repair of roofs, doors, and windows, stairs and decks. Operates hydraulic and gear driven, diesel and gasoline power dump trucks, forklifts, end loaders/backhoe, and bobcats with attachments.
