This position is in the Farm Service Agency, Farm Loan Branch, located Boone County, Columbia, Missouri. Specialized Experience Requirement For the GS-12 grade level: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in federal service or comparable experience not gained through federal service. Specialized experience is defined as:comprehensive knowledge and understanding researching, analyzing financial, legal regulations and procedures covering recurring types of legal actions to resolve complex delinquent farm loans; researching statutory provisions in the consideration and resolution of issues involving bankruptcy, defaults, repossession, settlement cases etc.; determining the adequacy of documentation and developing legal documentation to ascertain and protect the Government's credit position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Technical and administrative activities required to resolve complex delinquent farm loans that have been elevated to the State Office for resolution.
Researching and analyzing pertinent statutory provisions of individual farm loan cases.
Develop supporting legal documentation to ascertain and to protect the Government's credit position.
Review, prioritize and track cases based on Statue of Limitations, depreciation of collateral, collectible and conversion of security.
Knowledge of various State and Federal laws, i.e. inheritance laws, income tax laws, environmental, bankruptcy, etc. as they relate to the resolution of delinquent loans.
