This position is part of the Agency Force Protection, Government Publishing Office in Washington, District of Columbia.
To qualify for the Supervisory Personnel Security Specialist, PG - 0080 - 14 , you must possess one year of specialized experience that is equivalent to at least the PG-13 grade level in the federal service. Specialized experience includes: Adjudicating personnel security cases in compliance with federal regulation. Identifying and mitigating risks to personnel security programs. Managing teams' day-to-day work and personnel actions. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement (03/06/2026) to be considered.
Lead and supervise a team of adjudicators and support staff, ensuring adherence to federal security clearance guidelines.
Review and adjudicate the most complex and sensitive personnel security cases, including those involving derogatory information, appeals, or national security concerns.
Write directives and guidelines for policy and program objectives.
Liaise with other federal agencies, law enforcement, and intelligence community partners on complex cases and reciprocity matters.
Identify and mitigate risks to the personnel security program.
