Job Description:
You will serve as a LEAD ENGINEER in the WEAPON & SENSOR INSTALLATION DIVISION (N40) of the MODERNIZATION AND INSTALLATION DEPARTMENT of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER PORT HUENEME DIVISION.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-04 pay band or grade level (GS-12/13) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer leading the technical planning and implementation of ship modernization and installation by developing strategic engineering work processes and procedures and ensuring appropriate, safe, compliant, effective and affordable application of ship engineering projects. You will provide senior level technical oversight of all division products and services including modernization planning, execution, risk analysis and management, installation, OSIC/CSPE development, and program/ project support.
You will review and approve all engineering and technical procedures/processes within the division, including ship change installation procedures, installation checkout test procedures, repair procedures, and/or branch operation processes.
You will ensure the compatibility, interoperability and integration of all functional and physical interfaces and that the installation design reflects the requirements of all system elements such as hardware, software, HSI, data and facilities.
You will provide leadership guidance on all Alteration Installation Team {AIT) efforts within the division.
You will lead technical authority within the division on the management of processes; ensuring product safety; reliability and quality; and ensuring products and services are delivered to the fleet customers and sponsors on time.
