This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as a Shift Supervisor for the Security Guard force.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Managing a range of law enforcement functions and activities such as the protection of life and property, physical security, access control and /or anti-terrorism measures, and reviewing law enforcement reports; (2) Planning and/or coordinating the activities of a shift; and (3) Providing advice, counsel, or instruction to employees on both work and administrative matters. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Serve as a Shift Supervisor for the Security Guard force assigned under the authority of the Senior Commander at IMCOM supported installation
Perform supervisory and administrative duties relating to the security guard force.
Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
Receives and reviews daily reports from subordinates and ensures the correction of reported irregularities.
Plans and coordinates the activities of a guard force shift, to ensure the maintenance of physical security standards.
Develops training plans based on approved training courses and regulatory requirements and supervises necessary training for guard personnel in the use of weapons, protection against espionage, sabotage, and other organized subversive actions
