Opportunity
 Join Kohler’s Plastics Mold Shop and play a key role in building the
fiberglass molds, thermoforming tools, fixtures, and jigs that support KOHLER’s
industry-leading acrylic bathing products. This is a hands-on fabrication role
designed for technicians who enjoy craftsmanship, problem-solving, and building
high-quality production tooling.
What You’ll Do
Build
prototype, development, and production-grade tooling, including high‑gloss
gelcoat molds, polyester thermoforming molds, and metal jigs & fixtures.
Collaborate with engineering teams to create prototype parts made of wood, metal, or composite materials that facilitate the development of new processes and products.
Perform fiberglass layup, gelcoat work, sanding, finishing, and mold surface preparation.
Additional activities encompass woodworking, metal fabrication, welding, and the application of pneumatics.
Collect and
record test data during product performance testing.
Mentor and
train other Mold Shop technicians.
Provide on-site
support at Kohler Plastics Plants (TX, AR, BC) during equipment startups
and troubleshooting (occasional travel 1 - 4 times per year).
