One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-11) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required. Specialized experience is defined as: planning, formulating and implementing policies, standards and procedures to ensure successful accomplishment of budget, staffing, unit cost and performance contract requirements, and administrative support while exercising administrative and technical supervision over a diverse staff of professional, administrative and technical personnel. Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. Applicant must have served 52 weeks as a GS-11 or higher grade in Federal Service. ** The effective date of your SF-50 must reflect that you will meet the 52-week time in grade requirement within 30 days of the announcement closing. ** You may qualify for consideration if meeting time-in grade, specialized experience, education requirement, 90 days after competitive appointment requirement, and all other qualification requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of the announcement, unless otherwise indicated on the announcement.
Serves as the Supervisor of the Business Management Office. Duties include serving as the principal advisor on matters of policy; project/ program management; budget, staffing, cost and performance contract requirements, and administrative support.
Utilizes a broad knowledge of the operations and functions of the supported organizations, as well as detailed knowledge of policies, directives and regulations pertaining to financial management and related functions.
Makes revisions to both short and long term goals . Applies an unusual degree of initiative, resourcefulness, sound judgment, and the ability to successfully negotiate with upper senior management.
Exercises administrative and technical supervision over a diverse staff of professional, administrative, and technical personnel. Assigns work based on requirements and difficulty of the assignment.
Interprets, analyzes, and assesses the effectiveness of current and proposed process changes that directly affect relevant systems. Provides advice and training to the supervisors correct processes and procedures with HR issues.
