Basic Requirements: Degree: accounting or a related field (such as business administration, finance, or public administration) that included or was supplemented by 24 semester hours (or 36 quarter hours) in accounting (may include up to 6 hours of business law).OR Combination of education and experience: 4 years of accounting experience or a combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge AND 24 semester hours (or 36 quarter hours) in accounting/auditing courses or a certificate as Certified Public Accountant or a Certified Internal Auditor. Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 or equivalent level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume. Specialized experience is defined as: Specialized experience is defined such as: understanding DCAA's mission and programs; OR organizing, analyzing, maintaining, and communicating information; OR using technology to support performance and improve efficiency. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Evaluates audit programs and documentation to ensure compliance with GAGAS, demonstrating understanding of DCAA’s mission, programs, and processes, and consistently aligning work with organizational goals.
Organizes, analyzes, and maintains information using tools such as EPIC and ARMS, developing and managing program plans that leverage actionable insights to meet organizational objectives.
Applies advanced software tools, including Excel, Power BI, and Power Query, to extract, manipulate, and visualize data, identifying trends and providing insights that inform decision-making and improve program performance.
Analyzes program and organizational performance using diagnostic and predictive methods, identifying root causes and developing strategies to address emerging issues and improve alignment with Agency goals.
Communicates effectively through clear and concise written and oral presentations, collaborating with stakeholders to build relationships, respond to inquiries, and keep management informed of critical developments.
