This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is under the supervision of the US Army Garrison, Directorate of Emergency Services. Police/Provost Marshall Division.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes presenting lessons and examples during courses on law enforcement techniques; demonstrating law enforcement operations and techniques to mentor lower level employee; assist with preparation of police training material and updating performance standards; assist range instructors in operation of ranges; and responding to criminal activity. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal Service (GS-08).
Build the course lessons using materials and information from various sources to construct the course lesson plans, visual aids.
Prepare and presents training courses in a variety of subjects.
Exercise arrest authority; searches and detains suspects
Ensure Selective Enforcement Checks (SECs) are conducted as scheduled
Develop, coordinate and administer in-service law enforcement training and development activities for all federal police officers and military police
Provide input to supervisor to document needs and assure proper programming and budgeting of manpower, funds and facilities to support the law enforcement-training plan
