Job Description:

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SECURITY GUARD in the NAVAL AVIATION WARFIGHTING DEVELOPMENT CENTER (NAWDC) of NAVAVNWARDEVCEN.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing assistance in the development and maintenance of physical security programs and procedures to ensure the protection of personnel, facilities and classified information or sensitive materials against criminal or hostile activities. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will plan, schedule, assign, and direct the work requirements of guard force personnel.
You will establish work priorities and deadlines to ensure a secure environment for Naval Aviation Warfighting Development Center (NAWDC) facilities, equipment and information.
You will provide technical assistance and advice to employees and supervisors on the physical security programs, policies, regulations and procedures.
You will provide continuing inspection of and basic corrective actions for building security protective devices and systems to ensure that all physical security equipment and measures are functioning properly.
You will conduct physical security inspections of all buildings in the organization where sensitive work operations are located to determine if physical controls are adequate.
You will perform as the training officer for the security guard force in their physical security duties for protection of classified materials and pilferable material assets against criminal or hostile activities.
You will manage and administer the command's key control and lock program. Ensure all keys are accounted for, inventoried, and locks rotated as required.
You will ensure that only authorized personnel gain access to NAWDC buildings.
You will provide technical advice to management and identify physical security needs on projects.
