To be considered for the position, you must meet the following qualification requirements. Education: There is no substitution of education for specialized experience for this position. Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in difficulty and complexity to the next lower grade level. To be creditable, this experience must have equipped the applicant with the particular qualifications to perform successfully the duties of the position, and must typically be in or related to the position to be filled. Some examples of this qualifying experience are: Experience receiving complaints, handling settlement disputes, and resolving grievances and conflict. Experience overseeing a program, policy or procedure and assisting in planning, directing, coordinating and evaluating policy. Experience and expert knowledge of EEO, ADR Statues, federal laws and their applications to manage Conflict Resolution Programs. Experience analyzing information and providing recommendations in the modification of program objectives, plans, and policies having direct impact on national agency operations. If applicable, credit will be given for paid and unpaid experience. Serves as the Agency's manager of the Bureau of Prison's (BOP) Conflict Resolution Program which includes the use of mediation to resolve conflict. Responsible for determining whether requests for mediation submitted by the CEO, and union president if applicable, are appropriate for mediation. Responsible for coordinating the BOP Anti-Harassment policy. Works closely with the Human Resources Management Division (HRMD) and the Office of General Counsel (OGC) to set up the legal parameters to resolve issues bureau-wide.
