This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Office of the Chief Financial Officer. Washington D.C. is a potential duty location for this position; however, the Washington D.C. office is expected to relocate to Alexandria, Virginia. Selectees may be required to report initially to Washington, D.C and later report to Alexandria, Virginia.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Reviewing, analyzing, and interpreting existing and proposed legislation, appropriation language, executive orders, and OMB circulars and bulletins; and - Providing authoritative interpretation, advice and assistance to budget managers and budget staff; and - Identifying opportunities and recommending process improvements to the budgetary processes, policies, and procedures; and - Providing support as a senior analyst providing analytical services to support the formulation, justification, presentation, enactment, and execution stages of the budget process. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. As a Budget Analyst, you will: Perform a wide variety of administrative and analytical duties connected with the review, justification and presentation of the budgets for a program office or major component(s) of a program office. Provide advice to top management on the Federal budget process. May develop, recommend, and implement budgetary policies affecting the financing and accomplishment of national programs. Provide long-range analysis of the potential effects of budgetary actions on national economic, social, and political objectives.
