Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: As a professional engineer providing technical oversight and direction to manage in the design, development, and implementation of aerospace programs or reentry system programs in order to devise effective solutions that solve program constraints. You will directly oversee the contractor execution of development activities for the Strategic Weapons System (SWS), Trident II Missile System Life Extension (LE) and LE2.
You will lead efforts related to test and integration of the SWS onto Submarine Ballistic Missile Nuclear – Replacement (SSBN-R) Platforms, Columbia and Dreadnought.
You will lead efforts related to execution of Pad Launch activities for the LE2 missile system.
You will monitor and approve efforts dealing with acceptability, utilization and sustainment of hardware, support equipment and software including design and process changes.
You will assure that configuration control of the weapons system is in compliance with the approved Configuration Management processes.
You will implement program policy and engineering criteria and provides information to the prime contractor and Navy field activities.
