This position is located at Pililaau Army Recreation Center, Waianae, Hawaii (Island of Oahu). Incentives and Bonuses Incentives will not be paid. Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide at the level necessary to complete required reports and use a computer for work processing or data entry. Strong verbal communication skills and strong customer service skills. A minimum of one year experience in a hotel front desk role is preferred. Resume MUST clearly reflect the knowledge and experience listed until the minimum qualifications/duties criteria shown above. In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified": HIGHLY QUALIFIED CRITERIA: A minimum of six months of customer service experience in hospitality, retail, or a related industry. Proven experience in handling cash and credit card transactions, as well as operating point-of-sale and reservation systems. Proficiency in using computers for administrative tasks, including email correspondence and data entry. Makes reservations for incoming guests based on room availability and assists clientele in the completion of required forms and registration cards.
Answers questions pertaining to rules and regulations governing the assignment and use of quarters; issues room keys.
Updates registration information on registration cards. Orients guests concerning use of facilities and equipment, and other facilities available on post.
Computes charges for guests checking out, receives payments and room keys; renders receipts. At end of shift, reconciles and secures cash .
Performs other duties as assigned.
