This position is located at the Richard L. Roudebush (RLR) VAMC, Indianapolis, IN, Engineering Service. This position is intended to provide direct program support for Engineering Service staff members, as well as the VA Medical Center staff, veterans, and visitors

To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-4) in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes experience where you were responsible for providing administrative support; collecting, compiling and tracking data and information; processing documents and reports; establishing, updating and maintaining office files and records; performing automation duties using such software applications such as word processing, spreadsheet, electronic mail, desktop publishing, calendar, database and/or graphics; and providing information and customer service In order to qualify for this position at the GS-6 level, you must possess the following: Specialized Experience: One (1) full year of specialized experience that equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties the Program Support Assistant that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. Specialized experience includes, knowledge of the organization's function and interrelationships of organizational elements within the Medical Center and VA, performs duties in program support, work order control, timekeeping, and fiscal accounting, plan, coordinate, and accomplish a variety of program support tasks, such as recording and tracking specific program data and preparing and compiling data for special reports.
Major duties include, but are not limited to: Plan, coordinate, and accomplish a variety of program support tasks, such as recording/tracking specific program data and preparing and compiling data for special reports. Perform basic analysis of data to recognize trends and compiles data to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Research, collect and compile statistical data and other information for special reports, as requested. . Independently maintains Environment of Care (EOC) workorders to ensure reports and correspondence are submitted on or prior to established deadlines Perform various duties as a Work Order Clerk, Key Control Representative, ADPAC, PIV Sponsor and Timekeeper. As a Personal Identification Verification (PIV) Sponsor, issues, collects, maintains, and reviews information pertaining to employee and/or contractor needs for physical or logical access. As an ADPAC, incumbent assists employees by submitting essential ADPAC requests to obtain computer equipment, other hardware, software, etc. in order to complete their duties. Acts as a clearance official for Engineering, clearing employees from station via the electronic clearance process. Acts as a liaison between Engineering and Environmental Management Service (EMS), tracking EOC discrepancies in which the service is responsible for completing. Provide budgetary support, serving as a control point clerk for the service.
