Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience with includes:1) Determining best construction and repair methodology for utilities and facility maintenance, repair and restoration projects; 2) Aiding in coordination of project development and execution by conducting field inspections; AND 3) Assisting in verifying documents/contracts in areas such as accuracy of data, technical requirements, requirements development, complete scopes of work and adherence to regulations and policies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
Coordinates and maintains liaison with users of facilities, requesters, contractors, etc., to gather information, furnish advice and assistance or effect mutual accord on scheduling, plans, specifications and contracts.
Consults with shop supervisors on problems relating to craftsmanship, material, equipment and procedures.
Plans, develops, coordinates and integrates assigned study/project scope, budget, schedules, procurement strategies and manpower estimates which are mutually acceptable to DPW and the customer.
Reconciles customer expectations with directorate, resolving conflicts, responsible for the planning, design and construction quality, representing the directorate, and responsible for furnishing authoritative responses.
Overseeing the planning, design, revitalization, and quality assurance of improvements of housing facilities, communities and other real property.
