This position is located at Pine Plains Bowling Center. Join our team at the Directorate of Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) at Fort Drum. We are dedicated to enhancing the lives of Soldiers and their Families by providing essential support services, including child and youth programs and a variety of recreational activities that directly contribute to Soldier readiness and well-being. Resumes must be two pages (or less). Resumes should clearly demonstrate the applicant's relevant experience, skills, knowledge and abilities as they pertain to this position. A qualified candidate must possess the following: experience maintaining, adjusting and repairing a variety of bowling equipment having mechanical, electrical and electronic parts, components and assemblies, AND demonstrated ability to use standard electrical test equipment, such as voltmeters, ohmmeters continuity testers, and test lamp, AND demonstrated ability to do repairs such as soldering loose connections, burnishing contact points, splicing, insulating exposed wires, replacing defective printed circuit boards, AND knowledge of the basics of electrical principals and the operating characteristics of electronic components. Maintains, adjusts, and repairs a variety of bowling equipment having mechanical, electrical and electronic parts, components and assemblies.
Diagnoses equipment malfunctions, but referring to manufacturer's diagrams and specifications, schematics, and wiring diagrams using test equipment such as continuity testers, voltmeters, ohmmeters and feeler gages.
Conducts operational checks, visually checking for worn or damaged parts, traces wiring, disassembles, and makes necessary adjustments, repairs or replaces defective parts, cleans, lubricates, and reassembles the equipment.
Repairs cracks, chips, and splinters in bowling pins and lanes, using wood plastic and lane stock, sands surfaces, and recoat them with appropriate finishes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
