You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: -Developing training and guidance relating to the labeling or formulation of alcoholic beverages; AND -Interpreting Federal Alcohol Administration Act (FAA), the Internal Revenue Code, and other regulations relating to the labeling, formulation and production of alcohol beverages; AND -Performing analysis relating to laws, regulations, policies and/or procedures and providing recommendations. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks. TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
This position is located at the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Assistant Administrator - Headquarters Operations, Alcohol Labeling and Formulation Division. As an Alcohol & Tobacco Specialist (Quality Assurance Project Coordinator), you will: - Serve as the quality assurance project coordinator for the Alcohol Labeling and Formulation Division, advising personnel and management on matters relating to formulation, processing, and labeling of alcohol beverages and coordinating work for the commodity teams i.e. wine, distilled spirits, malt beverage and formulation within the division. - Provide subject-matter expertise and evaluate completed work for adherence to standards within the commodity team. - Perform complex, in-depth studies and/or direct and coordinate task forces or work groups on significant issues which impact on the Bureau's mission. - Support training and development activities for label and formula specialists, which may include providing guidance, reviewing training materials, or participating in training sessions. - Prepare presentations and provide briefings on sensitive, complex, controversial, and critical regulatory program issues which may have national and/or international impact.
