Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 or equivalent level. Specialized experience must be documented in your resume. Specialized experience is defined as: applying a wide range of complex inspection, investigation, and/or compliance principles, concepts, and practices; OR a broad range of advanced investigative techniques, research methodologies, and statistical and financial analyses; OR business practices common to regulated entities. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Researches, interprets, and analyzes public law, congressional reports, DoD/DCAA directives/instructions, emerging policies, and investigative trends.
Conducts independent assessments of the design, implementation, and/or results of agency's operations, programs or policies.
Conducts initial review of inquiry or referral and preliminary analysis to determine allegations, issues, nature and scope, and whether matter(s) should be resolved by OIG or in conjunction with or within another office within DCAA
Ensures that all documentation and reports are of acceptable quality in content, technical sufficiency, completeness, and compliance with law, regulation and policy.
Independently plans, arranges and executes all aspects of investigative and inspection actions for inquiries and complaints.
