This position is located at: MWR Financial Management - Fort Riley, Kansas. Become a part of MWR Support Services - the fuel that drives MWR facilities and activities. A qualified candidate must possess the following: Must have semi-independent work experience, which includes the processing of a large automated time and attendance system. Must have demonstrated ability to exercise leadership over a group of individuals. Computer knowledge is highly desirable. Work experience directly related to the duties described above to include knowledge of civilian pay regulations and procedures. As a team leader - receives time and attendance records and reviews for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to procedures; verifies hours charged and types of special pay authorized for employees covered by a variety of pay categories.
Determines and verifies time and attendance records submitted by each organization within Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR). Responds to pay inquiries and problems to include overtime, night differential, irregular duty hours and shifts.
May be required to process automated requests for personnel action (RPAs) and maintains filing systems for correspondence, reports and payroll function files, as well as managing record disposal.
Verifies that each timekeeper has completed posting of time and attendance data, and that certification is completed at the end of the pay period.
Provides initial and refresher training and assistance to other payroll timekeepers, and interprets payroll regulations as necessary.
