This position is located at: Desert Winds Bowling Center - Fort Irwin, California. As a member of the DFMWR Social and Dining team, you will be integral to a network of five distinct locations, each committed to excellence. These establishments range from casual eateries to full-service dining and event catering.This is an open continuous announcement. All qualified applicants will be forwarded to management on a weekly or as needed basis

A qualified candidate must possess the following: - Experience or training that indicates sufficient knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position consistent with acceptable practices of the trade including but not limited to: 1. Must meet state/local age requirements at the time of appointment if serving alcoholic beverages. 2. Ability to work without more than normal supervision. 3. Ability to keep things neat, clean, and in order. 4. Possess basic food preparation and handling techniques. 5. Ability to interpret verbal and written instructions. 6. Knowledge of basic sanitation principles. 7. Ability to use and maintain kitchen tools and equipment. 8. Able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds and frequently walk, bend, stoop, pull, push and reach. Prepares a limited variety of short order fast food items such as hamburgers, hot dogs, fish and chicken sandwiches, pizzas, French fries, etc.
Assures that tables/work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned. Cleans other work areas to include walls, floors, equipment, and storage areas. Takes delivery of supplies and ensures proper storage of shipments after delivery.
Serves as cashier in the snack bar, receiving payment by cash or charge. Completes cash report at the end of assigned shift. Orders fast food items, condiments, and other necessary supplies.
Must know basic food handling techniques, personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures. Must have the ability to read and understand written material.
Coordinates food and beverage needs for special events, not limited to preparing and serving food and cleaning work areas. Performs other duties as assigned.
