This position is located in Glacier National Park, in the Facility Management Division. The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period is March-October, but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding. Anticipated Entry on Duty: June
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors: Ability To Do The Work of the Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT). Able to perform common tasks associated with maintenance work including facility maintenance and repair of residential and commercial buildings including carpentry, painting, minor plumbing, and electrical work. Ability To Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation Repair, etc. Technical Practices (theoretical precise, artistic). If your knowledge and ability in the SCREEN OUT factor above is not sufficient, you will receive no further consideration. These temporary summer seasonal positions will perform simple and routine work involved in the maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings, equipment, and related utilities, requiring the use of a variety of trade practices associated with occupations such as carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electrical, cement work, painting, and other related trades. Provides routine maintenance on park facilities including minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical work. Assist higher graded maintenance employees in the performance of maintenance tasks. Safely and effectively, uses hand power tools required for the job and has the ability to maintain these tools properly.
