Job Description:

This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position. This is a Permanent WS-6601-09 ARMAMENT WORKER SUPERVISOR (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D0724000 and is part of the MO Combined Support Maintenance Shop. This is a non-bargaining position.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Selected candidate must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Air/Army National Guard. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion). Maximum Military Grade - CW4 (W-4) Minimum Military Grade - 1SG (with date of rank on or before 30 July 2025) GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience or training which demonstrates the ability to provide technical advice and assistance on difficult work operations; plan, schedule and direct work operations; evaluate work of subordinates; and maintain reports and records. WS-09 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess specialized experience planning and organizing work assignments for armament repair function; experience reviewing work requirements and establishing priorities to meet deadlines; experience with various lines of work performed by armament repair function and other section involved; experience dealing with other people and gaining cooperation in achieving common goals; and experience involving devising new work methods and procedures or improvements in existing work practices.
Plans weekly or monthly work schedules and sequence of operations.
Establishes deadlines and priorities based on established general schedules, methods and policies.
Determines skills, materials and equipment required to do the work.
Participates in the initial planning of current and future work schedules and development of budget requests.
Provides workload data, estimates, information on staffing needs, and recommendations of the scheduling of projected work.
Instructs subordinates on new procedures or methods and provides assistance on difficult or new problem areas.
Reviews work in progress or on completion.
Notes and investigates work related problems and independently implements corrective actions which could be taken without affecting work operations controlled by other supervisors.
Assures that equipment and materiel was available when needed.
Recommends and participates in the selection of personnel to fill vacancies.
Schedules and approves leave of subordinates.
Plans and establishes overall leave schedules.
Adjusts informal complaints through discussions with employees and union representatives.
Initiates proposals for disciplinary action where needed.
Maintains production reports and records.
Performs the nonsupervisory work of the function as needed.
Implements regulatory safety requirements and ensures that subordinates wear appropriate safety equipment and followed pertinent safety precautions.
Performs other duties as assigned.
