Job Description:
Finance Staff (FS) formulates, establishes and maintains Department-wide policies, procedures, and financial systems to support planning, programming, budgeting, accounting and other financial management activities. This position is in the Financial Systems Infrastructure Group (FSIPG) responsible for the design, development, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of systems that FS administers for the Department.
To qualify for the position of IT Specialist, at GS-2210-13, you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below. Basic Qualifications for 2210 series: To qualify for the position of IT Project Manager GS- 2210-14 , all applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below: 1) Attention to Detail - is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attention to detail. 2) Customer Service - works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. 3) Oral Communication - expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. 4) Problem Solving - identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgement to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or equivalent band in the Federal service, which includes: Developing systems life cycle management concepts and/or frameworks; Identifying and/or mitigating project risks through proactive planning and/or contingency strategies. The duties and responsibilities for a IT Specialist, GS-2210-13 generally include, but are not limited to, the following: Apply expert knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, and cybersecurity to ensure technical feasibility and compliance. Integrate hardware, software, and network components into secure, scalable solutions. Oversee cradle-to-grave IT project activities. Support audits of IT projects and systems.
