Job Description:
The Division of Enforcement, Office of Cyber and Emerging Technologies Unit (CETU) is seeking a Supervisory General Attorney (Assistant Director). As an Assistant Director, you will manage and coordinate the work of your team and performs a full range of supervisory duties.

BASIC REQUIREMENT: All applicants must possess the following J.D. or LL.B. degree --AND-- Active membership of the bar in good standing in any state, territory of the United States, the District of Columbia, or the commonwealth of Puerto Rico. (Note: proof of bar membership will be required before entry on duty. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting the basic requirement, applicants must also meet the minimum qualification requirement. SK-17: Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-14/15 level. Specialized experience includes: Applying knowledge of the Federal securities laws and Commission rules and regulations; AND Conducting investigations, civil cases or administrative proceedings; AND Applying knowledge of the securities market. In this role as an Assistant Director, you will be responsible for: Serving as a manager for CETU, providing program direction and technical leadership. Providing executive leadership and management of the staff and work products by maintaining and exhibiting knowledge, insight, and understanding of the assigned specialized segment of the market. Managing and coordinating the work of teams which can include attorneys, accountants, experts and support staff, and performs a full range of supervisory duties. Enforcing the federal securities laws, setting priorities, and preparing schedules for completion of work; recommending promotions or reassignments; hearing and resolving complaints; mentoring and training staff; and identifying development and training opportunities for employees. Supervising staff members who interact with the public and evaluates complaints and other allegations of potential misconduct related to Federal securities laws, rules and regulations. Participating with other supervisors in the management of the office and unit, consults with and advises Associate Directors, Unit Chiefs and/or senior managers on administrative matters relating to budget, personnel, and office/unit procedures.
