National Coordination Center (NCC): The ESF #13 NCC provides operational coordination, planning, logistics, and financial management functions necessary to deploy interagency provide public safety and security personnel, resources, and capabilities to meet requests for assistance through Federal Emergency Management Agent (FEMA) or directly from other Federal agencies.
To qualify for the Supervisory Criminal Investigator position at the GS-14 level, you must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Minimum Qualifications To qualify for this position at the GS-14 grade level, candidates must also have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-13) by the closing date of this announcement. Specialized experience is demonstrated experience, which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of this position. Experience must be in the normal line of progression or must be related to the work of the position advertised and must be reflected in resume. Specialized experience must include all of: Providing accurate information and guidance regarding procedures (i.e. arrest and processing; arrest principles); and handling of evidence and dangerous material; AND; Applying relevant laws, regulations and policies to investigative resources and techniques (i.e. ATF Giglio Policy); AND Providing leadership to others such as workgroups, teams or special projects; AND Negotiating and collaborating with others (i.e. interacting with other law enforcement agency (state, local or federal); AND Communicating orally and in writing (i.e. reports and briefings). The major duties of the Supervisory Criminal Investigator position include, but are not limited to, the following: Serving as an expert in SOD programs that support investigative efforts in the field and to represent ATF to external partners, Government representatives, multi-directorates as well as to assist with support functions for all current and future programs to support the field. Directing the accomplishment of work through investigative, instructional, technical, and administrative staff. Exercises delegated managerial authority to set a series of annual or multiyear long-range work plans and schedules for investigative or administrative work. Assures implementation, by subordinate organizational units, of the goals and objectives for the assigned programs.
