About the Position: This position leads and supports programs for a wide range of military and civil projects in Alaska, analyzing operations to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. The role also recommends improvements, evaluates program effectiveness, and advises leadership on policies and practices.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing financial management systems to manage financial programs on Federal appropriations governing and controlling use of funds for budgeting and/or budget execution.This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
Leads a team analyzing programs and projects to ensure they meet objectives, stay on schedule, and operate efficiently.
Provides expert financial oversight, managing budgets, tracking funds, and ensuring compliance with fiscal policies.
Guides and mentors team members, assigns work, and monitors progress to ensure quality results are achieved on time.
Develops and evaluates program performance metrics, identifies trends or issues, and recommends improvements.
Prepares reports, briefings, and recommendations for leadership on program status, budget, and operational decisions.
