You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Preparing cost reports, balance sheets, and recommendations upon request. Recommending policies to improve and stimulate the financial condition of the agency. Preparing reports from a variety of sources, identifying problem areas. Providing analyses, projections, and interpretations to maintain maximum efficiency and effectiveness. Qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. As a Financial Program Specialist, at the full performance level you will perform the following duties: Perform Financial Program Specialist duties and is responsible for understanding all subsidiary and financial data bases/automated systems to ensure that reports can be generated through use of automated tools. Enhance business processes and systems to provide timely and reliable financial information to ICE customers and implement requirements across ICE. Take appropriate steps to achieve a clean audit opinion in the Fiscal Year (FY). Examine, verify and maintain financial accounting data, classify accounting transactions, and verify the accuracy and completeness of the accounting data.
