Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, conducting, documenting operational safety assessments, inspections, hazard abatement AND applying safety principles within operational, transportation and training environments. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
You will serve as the installation subject matter expert and program manager for assigned operational, tactical, transportation, and off-duty safety programs under the general oversight of the Safety Director.
You will evaluate operational risk management plans and recommending appropriate mitigation measures.
You will manage hazard abatement efforts from identification through closure, including tracking deficiencies and verifying corrective actions.
You will support on-scene safety functions and formal mishap investigations by identifying contributing factors and assisting in the development of effective corrective action recommendations.
You will prepare and deliver formal classroom instruction, hands-on training, and safety briefings.
