You will serve as an AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT MECHANIC in the FACILITY & INFRASTRUCTURE MGMT DEPT of FLTREADCEN EAST.

The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION: 1) Using working knowledge of Facilities Management System (FMS) software or equivalent system to monitor and repair medium to large industrial/commercial chilled water systems, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC&R) systems, evaporative cooling systems, environmental systems, and other utility-related systems; 2) Inspecting, installing, maintaining, operating, repairing, and testing medium to large industrial/commercial HVAC&R systems including circulating air and chilled water HVAC systems, low/medium/high temperature refrigeration systems, and total environmentally controlled systems; 3) Utilizing principles and theories of the HVAC&R trade (refrigeration cycle, heat transfer laws, refrigerant tables, etc.) to calculate airflow, pressure, and temperature characteristics for a variety of systems; 4) Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, specifications, and technical instructions to complete installation and repair of HVAC&R systems and associated equipment; 5) Performing air balancing measurements to record the volume of airflow in accordance with industry standards and balance systems as needed based on recorded measurements; 6) Maintaining electrical/electronic, microprocessor, and pneumatic temperature/pressure controls ensuring calibrated controls for all types of medium to large industrial/commercial chilled water systems, HVAC&R systems, and evaporative cooling systems.
