Serves as the Enterprise Operations Group Manager within the NAS Security and Enterprise Operations (NASEO) Directorate and reports to the Office of the Director, NASEO. Manages a nationally diverse, multi-functional organization that supports current and future FAA hosted enterprise application systems and services in the National Airspace System (NAS).

Specialized Experience is: Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in restoration activities and anomaly investigation, coordinating and implementing modifications and resolving problems. Manages the work of a large, multi-level organization typically through subordinate managers, providing 24/7 real-time monitoring, control, and maintenance to enterprise systems and services. Responsible for oversight of restoration activities, ensuring risk management is applied to prevent and mitigate events with minimal interruption to NAS operations. Leads cross organizational teams to coordinate and resolve issues in order to ensure operational services meet established organizational goals. Oversees teams with responsibility for the following: Operational management of critical flight planning, weather systems, traffic flow, wide area augmentation system operations and monitoring and aeronautical information necessary to provide essential flight planning data used in air traffic operations. Supports restoration activities and anomaly investigation, coordinating and implementing modifications and escalating unresolved problems. Ensures the highest availability of enterprises services are available for use within the NAS operations center, utilizing management and monitoring tools. Performs strategic planning and communicates the organization's mission, vision, and objectives. Managerial responsibilities affects managers and employees for more than one organizational unit/project/program, and include: setting priorities; assigning tasks and responsibilities; monitoring and evaluating performance of organizational units, managers, and employees; coaching and developing staff and organizational capabilities; approving leave; and taking or approving corrective/disciplinary actions as appropriate. Develops organizational goals and activities and builds a shared vision that incorporates the goals of the agency, the service unit, and the directorate. May develop new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization. Provides guidance to subordinate managers and employees for preventing and resolving problems without the intervention of higher level management except where ATO or FAA-wide interests are at stake. Develops and approves solutions to current and anticipated problems which cross organizational lines and disciplines. Applies a detailed knowledge of the technical aspect of the work that is directed. A detailed knowledge of budget, human resources management, and other administrative policies and procedures, including Collective Bargaining Unit agreement(s). Applies a thorough understanding of the principles of management and strategic planning to integrate the work of multiple organizational units/projects/ programs to accomplish mission and objectives. Contacts are routinely internal and external to the major subdivision. Internal contacts are with subordinates, peers, and higher level management to discuss the statuses and results of projects/programs. Participates in cross-organizational planning efforts and projects immediate and future needs representative of the multiple organizational functions. Collaborates on a national level making real-time decisions or operational adjustments to manage enterprise level events and prevent/mitigate NAS operational impact. As the primary point of contact, represents AJW, ATO or the FAA for policies/procedures or other project/program purposes. Has the authority, within guidelines, to make commitments for the major subdivision, to establish new policies/procedures, and to make exceptions. Defines, acquires and allocates budget, staff, and other resources to accomplish objectives for multiple organizational units/projects/ programs and across multiple functions and/or disciplines across the Nation. Identifies efficient and effective uses of resources while ensuring cost effective business solutions and services are implemented and/or validated. Manages budget and either reallocates resources among organizational units/projects/programs or acquires additional resources as needed.
