Job Description:
You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST in the Security Division (105) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $138,370). NT-05 is equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing and executing electronic security system policies and procedures to provide technical guidance and direction on the analysis and resolution of vulnerabilities or security issues ensuring compliance with security program requirements. You will apply requirements for designing, constructing, accrediting, equipping (technically and otherwise), and securing government and contracted facilities to guard against unauthorized access - both on and off the installation.
You will develop and implement plans to mitigate vulnerabilities.
You will administer/develop security awareness and training concerned with electronic security systems.
You will lead identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization.
You will make adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks; and ensure that each employee has an integral role in developing the final team product.
You will represent the team in for the purpose of obtaining resources (e.g., computer hardware and software, use of overtime or compensatory time), and secure needed information or decisions from the supervisor on major work problems and issues.
You will provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on electronic security matters.
